There has been a meme going around about missing Sept 12th. That was a day we were all Americans united by tragedy.

Motivated by pain we came together to fight a common enemy and help those suffering. Then, that motivation faded as it always does and we find ourselves fighting amongst each other once again.

Why does it take tragedy to create positive change? Why do we need an enemy to be united? Without a common enemy, why do we turn on each other?

It doesn’t need to be that way. We can move forward individually and be a positive example for those around us.

It’s not sexy and it certainly not what’s easy. It is necessary if we don’t want to keep repeating this cycle.

Amazing things happen when individuals take control of their lives. That’s why we’re here. We want you to be happy. We want you to be the best person possible. The person you most want to be.

Take time each day to re-examine your goals, actions, and feelings. Amazing positive change occurs when you search for the answers to the questions:
“Why did this happen?”
“Why do I feel this way?”
“What can I do better?”

We grow. We change. We become more healthy humans.

When we come from a place of emotional, spiritual, and physical health, we have more to offer the world around us. We are less reactive and more thoughtful. We are forgiving and caring. We are more giving and understanding.

If each of us took a few minutes each day to make an incremental, positive improvement, we all would move toward a better household, workplace, community, and country without the need for tragedy, or an enemy for motivation.

On the anniversary of this most tragic day, we ask that you make the choice to do one thing to become a healthier person today.

Be the positive change you want to see in the world.
