My biggest takeaway from Monday’s live session was the need to do what we say we’re going to do for ourselves.

When we identify an action as a priority, we need to make sure we follow through and do it!

Otherwise, we get in the habit of not upholding our commitments to ourselves.

Here are three more tips to make the most of your priorities in Define My Day:

  1. Take it slow and steady. You can accomplish a lot in 5 years if you pace yourself and take small steps of progress every day. Doing too much all at once will burn you out and you may even regress.
  2. Priorities move us forward. In order to make progress, be sure that the priorities you write down create positive change in the direction you want to go. It may get repetitive sometimes, but you should see progress over time.
  3. Let some things go. Some actions are not worth your time and effort. Some actions may seem important because you’ve been conditioned to believe so. Take time to look at where you spend your time and energy. Is the bulk of your time spent moving you forward or treading water?
